Spring at The Stage Oconee: What’s Coming Up Next!

Buckle up, everybody! The Stage Oconee is coming out of the holiday season with a LOT of exciting things on the schedule. Spring is right around the corner, and here’s what’s coming your way!

🎉 Parents’ Night Out –

February 13

First, be sure to sign up for our Parents’ Night Out on Friday, February 13! This special evening is a fundraiser for our elementary school production class, Space Pirates!

Parents may drop their child or children off from 5:30 PM–8:00 PM for games, fun, and more.

  • Cost: $20 for the first child, $5 for each additional child

And really, isn’t that a small price to pay for a night out on the town? You have fun, your children have fun—it’s a win-win situation!

👑 Daddy-Daughter Dance & Tea Party – February 15

That same weekend, the princesses are coming to town! Our Daddy-Daughter Dance & Tea Party takes place on Sunday, February 15 from 4:00 PM–6:00 PM.

Enjoy makeovers, dancing, tea, and SO many princesses!

  • $25 for one child and dad

  • $30 for two children and dad

  • $35 for three or more children and dad

🎃 Summerween Camp Announcement – March 1

On March 1st, the monsters come out to play during our Summerween Summer Camp Announcement! Be sure to check out our social media pages to find out which shows and themes have been chosen for this year’s student summer camps.

This summer, we’ll be offering several exciting camps throughout June and July:

  • 🎭 Middle & High School 2-Week Production Camp: June 1–13

  • 🎭 Elementary/Middle 2-Week Production Camp: June 15–27

  • 🎬 Behind-the-Scenes Theatre Tech Camp (4 Days): June 29–July 2

  • 🎤 Middle & High School Cabaret Camp: July 6–11

  • 💃 Elementary/Middle Cabaret Camp: July 13–18

These camps give students multiple opportunities to perform, learn new skills, and grow in confidence throughout June and July. There’s truly something for everyone at The Stage Oconee this summer!

 

🎭 Big Fish – March 20–22

Later in the month, from March 20th–22nd, Big Fish takes The Stage!

We cannot wait to see the story of Edward Bloom come to life before our eyes, complete with mermaids, giants, and witches (oh my)!

Join our top-notch cast, directed by Rebekah Kenerly, as they present this fantastical and heartwarming production. Check back soon for ticket information for this magical spectacle!

 

🚀 Space Pirates – April 24–26

In late April, our elementary production class presents Space Pirates, directed by Maggie Dukes and her creative team.

Our younger students are hard at work learning music, choreography, and stage skills, and they are so excited to show you what they’ve learned. These talented kiddos have been giving it their all in rehearsals!

Performances: April 24th–26th

💌 Dear Edwina Jr. – May 8–9

Mother’s Day weekend brings Dear Edwina Jr., presented by our middle and high school production class.

Edwina hosts a weekly talk show with her friends, sharing life advice and answering questions from her audience. This sweet and funny show is filled with memorable characters and meaningful moments.

Directed by Carly Murray and her team, rehearsals are well underway.

Performances: May 8th and 9th

 

The Little Mermaid Auditions – April 16-18

Nestled between our two production class performances are auditions for Disney’s The Little Mermaid!

The Stage Oconee will present this iconic show at the Oconee Civic Center in July and August. Audition signups will open soon for performers of all ages.

Join us as we dive under the sea with Ariel, Sebastian, and all your favorite characters!

 

🌟 Staff Showcase – May 23

On May 23rd, our incredible staff takes the stage to perform selections from favorite musicals—just for you!

This annual event is always a highlight of the season, and our team looks forward to entertaining our community for an evening of fun and music. More details coming soon!

🎬 Wrapping Up Our Spring Season

Whew! That wraps up all of the exciting happenings at The Stage Oconee this spring. We stay busy because that’s how we love it—serving students, creating opportunities to participate and volunteer, and bringing the joy of live theatre to Oconee County.
